STUDIO POLICIES

ADULT CLASSES, WORKSHOPS & INTENSIVES

Policies are in accordance with the city and CDC guidelines and are subject to change.

The Koresh School of Dance is committed to protecting the health and safety of our staff, teachers & dancers while in our space. In accordance with the state and local health departments, we have implemented the following guidelines to keep our studio sanitized while maintaining the recommended distance between each dancer.

Help stop the spread!

If confirmed with COVID or presenting with symptoms including cough, headache, fever, loss of sense of taste or smell, please stay home! We ask that you quarantine for at least 10 days or until BOTH of the following criteria have been met:

1) at least 3 days after resolution of fever and improvements in respiratory without anti-fever mediation AND

2) at least 10 days have passed since symptoms have started.

Dancers who have had contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive are recommended to quarantine for 10 days.

Mask Recommendation

Many of our dancers have had positive experiences with dancing in either of the following masks:

1) Blue and white medical mask.

2) Cloth mask that ties behind the head.

IMPORTANT: If you choose to wear a mask, it must be properly worn to cover both the mouth and nose. Those who prefer to wear a face shield are also asked to wear a mask underneath.

Revised Class Schedule

We have revised our in-studio adult schedule to allow time for dancers to exit and enter the space in a safe manner. Entrance and Exit doors will be specifically labeled. Drop-in classes have been modified to allow 15 minutes between each class. During this transition, the barres and floor of the studio will be disinfected and the current class will exit the building in a timely manner to allow the next class to enter. Dancers are asked to disinfect their hands before and after class with the hand sanitizers placed by each studio or by washing your hands thoroughly in our restrooms.

When taking class

The barres and floor will be taped to ensure dancers are spaced 6 feet apart while dancing. At the discretion of each teacher, the class might allow for across-the-floor combinations. Traveling combinations will be done in groups of 3 max, and dancers are asked to keep a 6 feet distance when waiting for your turn.

Please read carefully before arriving for class…

  • Everyone MUST wear a mask when inside the building. These areas include our lobby, waiting areas, and dance studios before/during/after class. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing a mask while dancing, please consider taking our classes virtually.
