KORESH PRE-PROFESSIONAL INTENSIVE (16+)

8:30am - 4:30pm | $850 for one week or $1,550 for both weeks

The Koresh Dance Company’s Pre-Professional/Professional Summer Intensive seeks young, motivated dancers (intermediate to advanced level) who are eager to take their dancing to the next level. Classes will be led by Koresh staff and featured guest artists. Classes will include Horton, Graham, Conditioning, Koresh Repertoire, Modern Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. This intensive training is designed to guide dancers to achieve their fullest potential and will expose them to the Koresh aesthetic. Designed for students ages 16+.

Accepted applicants will receive

  • A performance opportunity at no cost

  KORESH YOUTH ENSEMBLE AUDITION     (AGes 13-18)    Sunday, JULY 21, 2018, 4-7PM .  The  Koresh Youth Ensemble  was formed in the fall of 2008 to give gifted, young dancers more intensive dance training and greater performance opportunities. Students who demonstrate both the talent and desire to become professionals are selected to join the group. The ensemble allows young dancers the chance to show their commitment to dance and strive for excellence in performance, under the direction of some of the most highly respected teachers and choreographers in Philadelphia.  Melissa Rector, assistant artistic director of  Koresh Dance Company , oversees the ensemble, teaching and rehearsing with them on a weekly basis.

NextMove Dance + Koresh Dance Company partner to offer 5 FREE WORKSHOPS in 2018

Experience the opportunity to study contemporary dance from five distinct perspectives. Discover new performance techniques and explore diverse methodologies with some of today’s most celebrated performers, choreographers, and teachers. Meet the artists, gain new insights, and engage in their technical prowess.

All programs are free. Advance registration is required to participate (Ages 18+, intermediate/advanced level). Observers are welcome, space permitting.
